Without question the most influential skaters to ever exist rose from the DogTown generation of the 1970s. Their skating was surf-born and deeply focused on style. They took the sport into new territory and showed the world what was possible on a skateboard. And when it all began, the decks these skaters rode were invariably hand made, hand drawn, custom one-off decks made by Wes Humpston and Jim Muir.
Some of the original Dogtown skaters who rode Jim and Wes's decks include Jim Muir, Tony Alva, Jay Adams, Bob Biniak, Paul "P.C." Constantineau, Shogo Kubo, Paul Cullen, Arthur Lake, Ray Flores, Wes Humpston, John Palfreyman, Tom Lunn, Gary Rosa, Steve Picallo...many more!
