Nitrogen and CO2 Cylinder Hydrotesting :
The United States D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) for your safety, requires mandatory testing of all aluminum CO2 and fiber wrapped HPA Nitro/Air bottles. Tanks without current hydrotesting cannot be legally filled at the field or store. Fiber wrapped HPA Nitro/Air bottles must hydrotested every 3 years (some of the newer fiber wrapped cylinders have a 5 year test cycle) with a maximum 15 year usable life span. Aluminum CO2 cylinders 2" in diameter or greater must be hydrotested every 5 years.
